Two Form Entry
On 1st September 2014, Albemarle became a two form entry primary school, with a nursery and welcomed 60 children to Reception for the first time.
Since 2014, Albemarle has undergone a major transformation. Located on the borders of Southfields and Wimbledon in South West London, Albemarle is situated on two sites which are separated by a road.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Nursery and Reception, site was demolished to make way for a new state of the art Lower School, which opened in September 2015 and accommodates the EYFS and Key Stage 1 (KS1) Years 1 and 2.
The Upper School site now accommodates Key Stage 2 , Years 3 to 6 and also accomodates the 'ACE' building.
The space was formerly shared by the school and local community. During 2016 it was transformed into teaching spaces for classroom use.
By September 2020, the school will have reached its full capacity of 472 children. This includes Nursery whic has a capacity of 26 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) places.
As a school, we are very excited about the expansion. We feel proud to be in a position to extend Albemarle and provide additional school places for children in the local community.
We hope you will enjoy being a part of the next phase of Albemarle's journey.
